240v Electric Charge Systems

All of our full conversions are supplied with a 12v leisure battery, which is charged by the vehicle engine by way of an intelligent split charge system. The 12v system is controlled by our own brushed stainless steel panel with 4 fused switches, 2 12v sockets and an LED battery indicator.

All conversions are also supplied with a 240v hook which goes to a twin RCD tripped 3 pin socket.

The Waimea conversion is also supplied with a 240v to 12v charge system, which charges the leisure battery whilst the vehicle is stationary and hooked up to a 240v supply.

With the introduction of modern 12v compressor fridges which are incredibly economic to run, the addition of a 240v to 12v charge system will only benefit a few people. If you are putting a high draw on there leisure battery or if the vehicle is stationary whilst being used for leisure use for more than a couple of days then this could be of benefit if you then use a 240v hook-up.
